Best Eye Hospital For Kids and Adults in Hyderabad

Poor eyesight and eyeglasses have become very common nowadays due to poor health, lack of sleep, stress, poor diet, and more screen exposure. And that’s how eye hospitals have also grown so much. Even optical shops are doing eye tests and telling you about your eye health nowadays without any professional degree. And many people go to them for an eye checkup as it is cheap and quick.  In my family, both me and my husband have glasses. So we have been to many optical shops and hospitals for our eye checkups and to buy glasses. So now we have an idea of which hospital is best for eye checkups and which shop is good to buy glasses. I am writing this only based on my personal experience. No one told me to do it, and I am not getting paid for this. I just wanted to share the best things that happened to me with you to help you find some good hospitals and shops without being fooled by others. In this article, I will also tell you the season why this hospital and shop are good compared to others.

Best Eye Hospital In Hyderabad:-

According to me, the best eye hospital in Hyderabad is LV Prasad Eye Institute. This is a huge institution in which students study, do practically, and also give treatment to all kinds of patients. It’s very big and it doesn’t look like a hospital. It looks like a big college campus. This hospital is famous for all types of eye treatment. There are many eye specialists and medical students in this hospital. I have been here 3 times and it was a wonderful experience. My whole family goes to this hospital for eye checkups. People from different towns, cities, and villages come here for their eye treatment, as it’s very cheap, and they get good treatment. For the first time, I went there for my father’s eye checkup, and then for my husband’s checkup. To go to that hospital, you will have to book an appointment one month before the checkup. If you book an appointment today, you will get the date after one month or 20 days.  Without an appointment, they won’t allow you inside the hospital for a regular eye checkup. In emergency cases, they will send you to the emergency department. These eye checkups have affordable fees, and anyone can afford them.

Place

I also did my checkup here once, before going abroad.  It is a very smooth process and also cheap. All the doctors in this hospital are highly qualified, and they have all the tools to check for any eye problems. Types of equipment and checkups are also available for infants and kids of all ages. They just don’t do a regular eye checkup, they give you a detailed report of your eye health. They send it to your email address, and you can either download it or print it out. Junior doctors, do your checkup first and report it to the senior doctor available. He will come at last and check your eye health and will advise you on what to do.

My son’s experience in LV Prasad Institute:-

My son was 4 years old, and he was going to school regularly. He was studying in Kindergarten 1. At that time, conjunctivitis became viral in our area and his school. The school sent us a message on how to prevent conjunctivitis and kids and not to send children to school if they have the symptoms. One week later, my son returned home with a red patch in his left eye. At first, I thought this was a normal patch, and it may have been caused by a lack of sleep. The next morning, it increased a bit, and now his whole eye was light pink in color. We still sent him to school, thinking that conjunctivitis symptoms include redness, itching, and watery eyes. But my son only had pink eye without itchiness or watery eyes. The third day, his eye became completely red and he told its itching now and there was pain in his eyes. That day, we didn’t send him to school and took an appointment with a normal optician in a normal eye hospital recommended by one of my husband’s friends. This was a small eye clinic with only 2 doctors available. We went there, my son had an eye checkup, and the doctor told us that he had conjunctivitis and it needs to be treated as soon as possible, or it can affect other people in the family. He also told us not to send him to school for one week. I have written a detailed article on conjunctivitis and how it is treated in this blog. Please read here to know more about what happened to my son and how we did his treatment. Conjunctivitis in kids.

The best part was that after my son, no one in our family got conjunctivitis, though we were with him 24/7. The doctor gave some antibiotic eye drops and other drops for 5 days to treat the infection. The doctor also told us to come back after 10 days for a checkup again. After 3 days, the redness in my son’s eye started to fade away. His itchiness and pain also decreased. After 10 days, he was completely normal. We went for a checkup again after 10 days with the same doctor. He did a checkup and said there is still a little bit of infection and told to continue the drops for 5 more days. He also told us that your son might get eyeglasses as his eyes are a little bit weak. He told us to come after 10 days again when the conjunctivitis is completely cured, to checkup for an eye checkup. Now we were shocked. We never thought such a small kid who is just 4 years old might get eyeglasses just like us. He doesn’t watch cartoons much, and he is healthy and fit, too. We thought this doctor was just telling us for an eye checkup randomly to pay the extra fees. So we decided to take a second opinion.

After coming home, we booked an appointment at LV Prasad Hospital for a pediatric doctor. The appointment date came after one month. So we waited for one month and then went to the hospital for an eye checkup. The doctors were very friendly, patient, and experienced. After a complete checkup, the senior pediatric doctor told us that our son does not have any eye problems and his eyes are completely normal. We got relief after this, and from then onwards, we went only to LV Prasad Hospital for eye checkups and other eye-related problems. They have their own pharmacy and optical shop in which good medicines and glasses are available at affordable prices.

Best Optical shop in Hyderabad:-

According to my experience, Lenskart shops are best for eyeglasses and sunglasses. They have a variety of glasses in every color, model, and suitable for every face shape. They have a membership option. If you take a membership, the cost of glasses will be less, and you will also get a one-plus-one offer. I love the designs they have. Before, I was very shy to wear eyeglasses for sight, as those glasses didn’t look good on me. I looked old and nerdy girl. I always bought half-frame or framless glasses that were costly to look classy and to wear daily, for functions and events. After my kids were born, my glasses started to break very easily, as my kids loved to pull and play with my glasses. So now I decided to buy full-frame glasses as those don’t break very easily and are useful in the long run. But I felt very uncomfortable wearing them outside and at home, too. I didn’t feel confident about my look.

One day, my husband decided to take a look at the Lenskart shop when his friend gave a good review about the glasses in that shop. When we went to the shop, we felt very happy just by looking at the shop. It was very neat, clean, big, with bright lights, a good customer support system, and a variety of glasses. They had all types of eyewear. From lenses, sunglasses, anti-glare glasses, UV-protected glasses, screen-friendly glasses, full frame, classy frames, different colored frames, half frame, frameless, sports glasses, swimming glasses, and glasses for kids and children. They also give you a warranty for every glasses so that you can repair them in their shops free of cost. Their delivery is also super fast. The best part is their affordable prices. All other optical shops don’t have a variety of eyeglasses, and they charge more for all types of glasses. They don’t even give a warranty. Lenskart also has an eye checkup department with a qualified doctor in its shop itself. Please visit the nearby store to learn more about Lenskart.
